1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using AfyaID's healthcare management platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this service.
2. Use License
AfyaID grants healthcare facilities and authorized users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for legitimate healthcare purposes.
You may not:
- Modify or copy the platform materials
- Use the platform for any commercial purpose outside of licensed healthcare services
- Attempt to reverse engineer any software contained in the platform
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notations
- Transfer the platform to another person or entity
3. User Responsibilities
Healthcare Providers
- Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
- Use the platform only for authorized healthcare purposes
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Comply with all applicable healthcare regulations
- Report security incidents immediately
Patients
- Provide accurate personal and medical information
- Keep AfyaID credentials secure
- Notify healthcare providers of any data inaccuracies
- Use the patient app responsibly
4. Data Protection & Privacy
All users must comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019) and our Privacy Policy. Patient data must be:
- Collected with proper consent
- Used only for specified healthcare purposes
- Protected from unauthorized access
- Retained only as long as necessary
5. Service Availability
While we strive to provide continuous service, AfyaID does not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to:
- Perform scheduled maintenance
- Make emergency repairs
- Update and improve the platform
- Suspend service for security reasons
6. Limitation of Liability
AfyaID provides a healthcare management platform but does not provide medical advice or replace professional medical judgment. Healthcare providers are solely responsible for:
- Medical decisions and patient care
- Accuracy of information entered into the system
- Interpretation of data and reports
- Compliance with medical standards and regulations
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to the platform immediately, without prior notice, for:
- Breach of these Terms of Service
- Fraudulent or illegal activities
- Security threats
- Non-payment of fees (if applicable)
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in Kenyan courts.
